Hey Maurice, I'm old; so please bear with me as I tell you about the "good old days"; when I was growing up on a small vegetable farm in southern Massachusetts (USA).
Each morning at 5:00 AM, Dad & I would deliver our load of fresh spinach to a public Farmers Market, next to the the "Little Italy" section of Providence, Rhode Island (USA also).
There, Dad attempted to teach me how to negotiate a fair price, for our bushel boxes of spinach, etc.
One morning, he sent me to the market to execute what I had learned.
Being strong minded, and a bit stupid, I refused to negotiate a logical and fair price; and returned home with a load of rotting spinach.
Well, technology is very much like spinach. It has a limited shelf life, and must be sold before something better comes along, making your product worthless.
The players (Good Guys- QCOM, and Bad Guys-ERICY), are involved in a poker game of sorts. QCOM must be careful not to overplay their hand, and not lose out to the bad guys.
I don't much like Microsoft either, but if I had been bright enough to invest in them, (instead of just hating them), I'd be a "rich old man".
Best, (old) Mardy . |
