What exactly are you referring to when you say "to come up functional to the public"? This site is functional to the public. I spoke with the lady in charge of the site (development, maintenance) today. She gave me an impression quite different from that expressed on this thread. She said that over the "next few weeks" the site would be changed, to give it "a better look, feel." She also said the "way you enter the site may be changed" whatever that means. When I told her I had read that an overhaul would be performed all at once in four to six weeks, she said:
1. In an ongoing on-line business like this, it is better to make many small changes over time rather than one big site overhaul.
2. That "a lot" was going to happen with the site before four to six weeks.
She also confirmed the two large print ads in Stereo Review and Rolling Stones, to be in mid to late November (my opinion--you know they wouldn't be planning on advertising unless they were confident the site would be as they want it by then.) You can call her direct at ext. 4048.
I also spoke to Liz Styles. She was unable to give any further info. on the PP, and was unaware if there was to be a release tomorrow.
My opinion: I think we will see many changes and advances in the next several weeks. I do not think we will be waiting four to six weeks to see changes or news.
