I'm posting because of how badly DOSE is getting pounded on the YAHOO board. While I agree that DOSE has had some problems (growing pains) I believe the recent price drop is a combination of market over reaction to the .02 shortfall and global conditions. In the summer the value of DOSE plummeted on warnings of a shortfall! Then whole stock market went south and DOSE was unable to recover. Now as I read posts on YAHOO and find no substantive information and just a lot of guess work especially by the self proclaimed Icon Phantom. I decided to share the following: DOSE Book value 6.24 Price to book ratio .65 Price to sales ratio .35 PE ratio below 7 PEG .27 on 10/14/98 Cash and short term investments 72.8 mil. Recievables 256.0 mil. Quick Ratio 2.55 Projected billion dollars revenue current fiscal year DOSE missed street est. .02 88,000,000 shares Or they missed the street net income goal by $1.7 mil I believe DOSE is top heavy in payroll (6,376 employees) I also believe payroll reductions are in order my recommendation is 2% now or 127 jobs at an average salary of $30,000. annual savings 3.8 mil. and another 2% by March 1 1999 for equivelant annual savings. The first to go should be the idiots that approved all this hiring! On the other hand DOSE is growing thru acquisition and these cost over runs can happen quickly! There is a need to reorganize the company just keep your eye on the ball and get your house in order! Clean up the unneeded expenses and keep selling! BOTTOM LINE DOSE IS WAY UNDERVALUED!!!
