I second that. I always crashed in 95, no matter what I did. The best move I ever made was switching to NT 4.0 Workstation, six months ago. I also have 128 MB RAM, and run about the same number of apps you do, though it's Netscape windows mostly, plus 1-2 IE windows, plus two realtime streaming feeds, Outlook 98, and two mIRC windows.
I NEVER crash, and, while the learning curve is a bit steeper at first, it is well worth it, in my opinion. In addition, you can REALLY monitor your resources, with NT's version of Task Manager. While it isn't exact, it is a tremendous improvement over the 95/98 model. And being able to selectively close a problem app, when the normal ways won't work, without having to reboot, is a dream come true to us who struggled for so long with the other model.
