Hi Bernie, Good to hear from you.I've been wondering how and what you have been doing! You and my IRA seem to be about at the same point for the YTD. Congratulations. I certainly hope AIM even By the Book triggered a few buys for you recently. I use 10% SAFE pretty much for all of my individual stocks, but limit the Cash Reserve buildup to what the Idiot Wave suggests.

Are you ordering Value Line on CDRom or Paper? If Paper, you will want to use the INDEX section each week for several of the Idiot Wave statistics. The other data comes from BARRONS weekly. I won't mind it if you have the Paper version of VL, it will give me a "second source" when the mail doesn't get to the library in a timely fashion!!! When you receive your first issue of VL, I'll send a note on where to look for the statistics that I follow.

You know who we haven't heard from in a very long time is Floyd Stern. Last I heard he was about to retire from the medical profession. I'll have to drop him a note and see if he's still AIMing. He, too, had a relatively conservative portfolio.

Sounds like that On/Off switch for the market is working pretty well. Not a bad call to put money into the market at the end of Aug. we've seen just one dip lower on the NASDAQ since then.

Best regards, Tom
