Trey, that maybe true, but unless the dollar really tanks, this rate cut may fuel a big rally. Don't forget, whilst the troubles haven't gone away, this market has been fueled by liquidity. Thats what the Fed just provided .... potentially in a big way if it gets the mutual fund inflows going again. Also, the fund managers now have to worry about getting behind the indexes again if they keep money on the sidelines - and they will be thinking long and hard about that. As for bad news ... well unless there's a devaluation in Brazil (ha) .... I'm not sure whats coming - bad earnings ??? ... not if there's a potential recovery next year. Hedge fund goes belly-up .... well BofA got lumbered but the rest of the banks went up when they announced their additional exposure.

Besides, I assume the overseas markets will go up .......

Still, I'm usually wrong and since the only thing my hat indicator is telling me now is that I won't need anymore roughage in my diet for a while I seem to be a fairly good contrarian indicator!!

Good luck everyone

Stephen

PS ... I went long after the news - gotta do something and going short isn't an option .. at least till sometime tomorrow morning !!
