ZP You would not use a 4-8 gig primary partition. You could divide a primary 8 GB harddrive into four 2GB partitions. Or you could use two 4GB partitions and make use of compression. I'm thinking, for this machine, 4-8 gig for for the entire primary drive. I just don't think I'llneed larger for a trading machine. Whats to save? Records ( Excel & Quicken )stay on the MAc. Two 8's would be affordable. But thats my limit for Hdd expediture. Less $$ would be better for the smaller drives that I need. Clarence
