So much for the doomsayers !
I expected a much worse quarter but instinctively felt
that IOM had turned the corner, this report confirms that.

The report indicates that not only is the company recovering
but they're prepared to go on the offensive by leveraging their
installed base with a 100 meg compatible 200 meg drive.
( liked that )

IOM had increased shipments of Zip drives by 39% not
including the 11% that the licensees are shipping.
Zip is still the hottest add on in the industry with
18 million sold ! will be 21 million by the end of
the year 24 million by the time HiFD ships evaluation
units to OEMs 28 million ( or more ) by the time an
OEM would offer a HiFD to end users. ( IMO Sony's DOA )

A major OEM to announce Clik! in their product
( no doubt before COMDEX, can't wait for this one )
Clik! is going to be a fun product to sell, a whole new
category of products and with residual income.
( move over Kodak ) :)

I would encourage Seirk to reconsider his decision to
decline the CEO's position.

I was also looking at Maximum's write up on Megapixel
Digital Cameras.
These guys desperately need cheep removable storage.
