all, funny how IBM came out with their annoucement, a couple of days
after axc said they gave Maxtor their deal. after all, was,nt IBM
in talks with axc also? you can read it two ways, or i do..
IBM did,nt like what axc had, and are going to produce something
similar...... or IBM would,nt bend to tiny axc to their terms, and
after axc gave a deal to maxtor, ibm wanted to throw water on the
maxtor deal, in spite. kind of shows weakness on IBM,s part.
sounds like IBM will have to play catch up if they don,t get K.M.
from axc.. when will we learn, never let those smart people over
there get a edge. is,nt maxtor in korea? very smart people..
IBM just made a deal with ACER computer, a korean company, so IBM
knows the asian companys could hurt them.... or help them...
this maxtor deal could turn out to be the best deal that axc could
have made, as a first step.. let the other so called big disk
makers sweat it out, as they see what K.M. will do to their bottom
line.. i think IBM is toolittletolate in their own plans.. IMO..
