Isn't the dollar down just moderately? Such moderate decline may be good for easing financial binds the emerging markets were in, avoid Brazil defaulting, which will lessen panic on US bank shares, and ease panic move into treasuries and get pressure off hedge funds. This Fed move may have gone a long way to avoid panic collapse. Instead of 1929 type meltdown, we may have an earning driven, drawn out bear market like 1974 or even 'contained' bear of 1990. BTW, is there a link to check dollar chart?
