While I like your analogy about INTEL being like GM without FORD and CHRYSLER and COKE without Pepsi, a contrarian could make the arguement that someday a PEPSI might come along. I agree that it doesn't look like that on the horizon, but, as discussed here before, a complete paradigm shift could provide competition for WINTEL.
