I hate to be a defender of LT(or anyone) but lets give ppl the benefit of doubt. He probably just abbreviated Japanese to "jap". In an informal medium like the internet I think its quite acceptable. Like saying "brit", "aussie", "yankee" etc. I wouldn't take exception at any of these. To confront people of racism for what else "jap" might mean is a little too much(in my humble opinion).
