How does this new approved test by DIGE fit into the puzzle? biz.yahoo.com

As I understand the test, VGINF's is to test viral infection resistant strains, while DIGE's would test the CMV viral load of an infected patient. Am I at all close. If so the two test would not compete but would compliment each other. Are they similar in their technology? What do you think of DIGE's test and future?
