Chip,

I agree that it is insufficient in itself but is important as part of an overall plan. Personally I think it will be a long time before the Japanese start spending again and we wil have to see an export led recovery in Japan. Which means eventually we will ne to see a stronger dollar, probably after all the hedge funds have been squeezed out.

FWIW there are strong rumours that a US bank is in trouble. We may hear something soon and the Fed would have known that yesterday.
