TO ALL! This is a bunch of BS. I think their pissed off because they can't keep the small investors in their pockets and tell them what to buy or sell. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Merrill Lynch & Co. plans to offer free access to its stock research on the Internet for a four-month period. Merrill vice chairman John Steffens revealed plans for the Internet test in an interview this week with The Wall Street Journal. Steffens has been critical of online investing, calling it "a serious threat to Americans' financial lives." But he said the firm's plans are consistent with his caution, saying that the Web venture is a limited project and that the firm's analyses, long term will be available only through brokers. "Research, plus a human being, is a better methodology than trying to do this on your own," he told the Journal.
