I agree with Bernie that there is always a possibility of true competetion (which Intel lacks right now) showing up - be it in the form of new technology or completely new way of computing. While Intel is a great company and would command a premium for being so (even with competetion), near monopoly makes it more vulnerable to a surprise breakthrough.

Competetion is always a good benchmark of how good a company is. Today Intel is it's own benchmark.
