We all know you HATE cookies, Cheeky. I'm not real fond of them myself, though I don't share your passion on the subject.

I am irritated when I go to a site for an Internet sweepstakes contest and find this huge questionnaire to fill out first. As we all know, that's all about 'cookies'. Typically, it's not worth the effort to register so I just leave. In fact, for that exact reason, I simply don't visit web sweepstakes pages.

Now here's my question to you: What happens if you randomize your responses to these questionnaires? How does a list purchaser feel if I am both a 74 yr old male from Wisconsin AND a 16 yr old female corporate executive from Mississippi? Suppose everyone who hates cookies responded this way. The corrupted data in the database soon makes it worthless. And then the use of this type of data-gathering will fade into oblivion.

But then more insidious methods might evolve to gather the same information. So is the devil we know better than the one we don't?

Just some observations here for your comment, Cheeky.
