DANBURY, Conn. -- Cognitronics Corp. (CGN)
received a $2 million order for its McIAS 1623/IP voice

In a press release Friday, Cognitronics said the order is

The order will be recorded in the fourth quarter.

Cognitronics' systems will be installed on Alcatel System

Telmex to provide voice services.

For the year ended Dec. 31, 1997, Cognitronics earned
$3.6 million, or 93 cents a share, after a charge of 15
cents a diluted share, on sales of $29.5 million.
