(NewsTraders) -- A group including investor Ronald Baron boosted its stake in Polo Ralph Lauren (RL) to 32.4% and now holds 11,019,650 Class A shares, according to an amended Schedule 13D.

The group purchased 626,150 shares at $18.65 to $22.51 between 10/1/98 10/15/98. The group also sold 4,000 shares at $21.88 per share on 10/13/98.

The group continues to hold the shares for investment purposes.
