Mark,

I'd heard that Samsung will pick up the Stormedia shortfall between HMT and Showa Denko. Those two will also be on the Samsung 4.3 GB/platter.

I haven't heard that Komag is on the Samsung short list but that could change.

I too like Stitch's comments about KMAG. I hope he jumped in before the 19% spike today. I liked what I heard on the KMAG CC yesterday so I jumped into KMAG today - naturally after it went up 20% - daah!

I bought into HMTT last week before the news of StorMedia and expect an upbeat CC from them next week. Iomega trimmed costs and sees improvement in the Jaz 2 which should offset the potential shortfall at HMTT from SyQuest.

Next week Fujitsu becomes the time to market leader when they introduce an across the board new product lineup using GMR.

Hello Seagate - - - - Samsung just announced their 4.3 GB per platter and Fujitsu and WD are next, but you're still futzing around trying to get your 3.2 GB per platter ramped. Vas Gibtz? Ah, maybe that explains your stock price drop after your CC. Enough rambling!

Regards,
LT
