ph, absolutely. Unless the i-banking fees amount to roughly $94 million (which I doubt) something's not fully explained.

I love how the financial press I've seen so far is skirting the nuts and bolts aspect of the deal and merely reiterating the PR (although the writing on the strategic dimensions has been decent).

Hey, financial writers - where is your curiosity? Did you all become journalists so you could sit around paraphrasing press releases? Show some spirit for God's sake. Underneath that PR there are blanks that need to be filled in. What is preventing you from calling up MR at either firm and attempting to do that?

Is it the most significant aspect of the story? No. Are deadlines a factor? Yes. But is this an aspect that begs for more specificity? Yes.

Sorry, that just drives me nuts. Stuff like that is in the control of these people. Unlike trading, where bad stuff can waylay you out of the blue at any time and no amount of effort can save you (not for a minute do I think intense body english while groovin' to Beck helped one iota in getting some birds back to the flight deck today <g>), that's a profession where there's a direct correlation between effort and output.

Good trading,

Tom
