Matt,

>>This is why I say "potential gap" because it didn't really gap up over night but it moved up significantly almost like a gap up.<<

We'll have to ask Mr. Gap expert himself, Wayne. Actually, I
tried to read up on some of it in my TA book. It's not
all that obvious from the explanation in the book. I'll have
to ponder over the book some more. I think some of this may
be closer to an "art form" than true science -g- (just kidding
Wayne:-))

>>The more I think about the rate cut, the more I like it for financial markets. I was thinking of buying at the close in case investors decide over the weekend that this rate cut is a big deal for the markets and that it isn't totally priced in and we get a gap
up.<<

That's exactly my feeling. I felt that expirations day subdued
the true effect from the rate cut. COMS gave it a good shot
at breaking 32, but I think it decided today's not the true day
to push it. From my experience, most expiration friday's are dead, because nobody wants to be caught up in it. It's supposedly is
very difficult to tell what is really moving the price.
I will be very focused on Monday's opened. I wouldn't be
surprised to see strength.

Even if we don't gap up, IMO, this rate cutting will help out
the rest of the world with interest rates. I think all the
economist and analysts will be rethinking their analysis over
the weekend and we will see a whole new spin on the market
next week.
