Anyway here's an article from the linux journal OH is about MIPs to. Linux may generate a little revenue for MIPS. linuxjournal.com After finishing up this email to you I am going to start putting together my own breifcase, hmmm R10000 equivalent. Just bought 5 venus ppro motherboards for $16 Got 180 ppro's with fan for 104. Got cases for 60. I got several samsonite brief cases. Oh I'm only building one. Anyway I'm building a portable compute server (130 meg flops, 7 to 7.5 spec float) with a 100 baset link to my laptop running linux. This sucker will screem and for about $400 hundred in parts I'll have a portable workstation. Well it's not super portable, but it's super cheap and super powerful. And you can't do this with borg unless you buy 3 to 4k of software. Well I'll spend 79 for applixware. :) I'll upgrade with two 8meg video cards at 60 apiece. If I go someplace I can use multible displays and do amazing multi display demos. Oh dis ain't my job, dis is just for grins. I know I need a life. How does a cheap lowly technonerd weiney N-gin-Ear get into sailing on the cheap. Need a good crew with enthusiam. Here is my boat. Outa pocket expenses about 800 a year.
