Cisco is racing to develop and build networks that transmit voice, data and video across the same network, rather than across separate ones, to better compete with No. 1 phone equipment maker Lucent, Canada's Northern Telecom. -------------------- really strange and seems like not tuned into what csco has; STRM boxes have been doing this more than 10 yrs ago and csco now owns it; IMO, left hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing; so many voice-based acquisitions and no real effective products that can compete with LU and NT out yet
