Thanks, Maurice, for your comments. I was in Japan in 1986. The Dollar/Yen exchange rate in November, 1986 was 207 yen to the dollar. I checked my old files to recover this information. That's where I exchanged dollars for yen. Beyond that, I have no recollection.
Right, don't fight the fed. But make sure that you are long marks, swiss, and perhaps pounds. Also, the yen might work out on the long side if you can stand the threat of intervention. Another approach is to short the dollar index.
And watch for the opportunity to short the S&P 500 index futures as well as the Nasdaq 100 futures. Good money to be made here. Am presently short the yen, long the mark, long the swiss, long the pound, long the s&p (from1001.20) long the nasdaq (from 1207.80) and watching everythiing like a hawk.
And, oh, yes, I am also long QCOM. Have been for a long time. Am now used to the yo yo effect which every long-term qcom holder must perfect if he is to stay calm. |
