Steve, I agree with your comments. The only thing I would add about Canada's debt (balanced budget now...) is that we still have one of the highest, if not the highest, per capita debt in the world - much more than the US.

Basically, much of Canada (other than Ontario) is not much more than a developed third world country as much of our economy is resource based - lumber, coal, oil, fish, etc... and I agree that the lower C$ will benefit our trade and export numbers. I also agree that interest rates will drop. What are your thoughts on how low the C$ can go?
