Mike, Lam Research is expecting next Qtr
revenue to be close to 75% down from 1996
peak. The semi equipment total revenue is
33% of what it used to be.
Now, AMAT is the average, for better or
worse. Why is it trading at peak 1995 levels???
Actually, on price alone it's even much
worse than NVLS.
On a different note. My 40 something former
American co-worker is still unemployed. He is
already closing on 4th months. So are tens of
thousands other engineers from LRCX, AMAT,
CRUS, LSI, ADPT, INTEL, Syquest, IOM, PAC-BELL
and more. Actually, my daily commute from Fremont
to Santa Clara got somewhat better. -g-
We know that it's going to get much worse.
Now, do we really need more foreign engineers
considering this???
