Looks like a green light for the shorts and puts. That drop in the long bond was one of the biggest in a while. I was surprised, though, that the COMPX held up like it did. One other thing that caught my attention was some judge on the supreme court calling for a federal judge pay raise. IMO, this will spur demand for higher wages from ordinary workers. I can't imagine the top federal employees getting a pay raise without the rest of the country feeling like they, too, have a raise coming. Just bringing up the subject at that level is bound to have an effect on the market, not necessarily the numbers, but in the minds of market participants. The market will be hanging on every number used to guage inflation. Either that or just collapse right away and get it over with -g-. Jack
