I think Bobby Yellin asked about Popular last year., and a few others., they were involved with Caledonia Resources on a property in the NWT., other than that I dont know much about them., the first question I would ask is the relative location of their deposit., compared to the Star Mine., which you may know they have compared their stones as being similiar. The reason I ask., is that the geology is somewhat different in the area of the Star Mine vs., say Rexs Bellesbank deposit., where the kimberlite is hosted in Dolomite vs., Shale deposits for the Star mine. What can one imply., maybe nothing., without knowing the parameters of Populars deposit. What is abundantly clear is the fact that kimberlite fissures can be traced much easier in dolomite host rock lithology vs., shale deposits., which tend to lend to considerable variances in thickness., dip extentions and strike length., evidenced in the Stars geology vs., other mines in the area. I would examine the geologic area very closely., and request some backround information as to the history of previous mining., the reasons why it was not in continuous operation. Sometimes companies can successfully delineate an ore body from previous workings., but I would advise one to fully research the story behind the previous owners and present ones as well.
