Excellent point about stock selection... I have core stock positions that I consistently add to on dips... Stocks like LU, INTC, WMT, AAPL, etc... On the speculative side I'm adding to RECY and THDO positions... I agree, one needs a long term investing horizon for their core holdings and a belief in the U.S. economy... The short term timing stuff adds a little spice to the portfolio... And, general market direction is a determinant of individual stock movement for 75% of the stocks...
