One other thing Geoff - Dell sells a 17" monitor that is essentially a Sony Trinitron, (1000HS). The 19" they sell is made by Phillips, the tube is not as flat as the Sony, and the monitor in my opinion is not as sharp. Too bad they don't offer the 19" Sony as an option. Maybe you can check them both out if you have friends with Dell systems and see which you prefer. (Can't go to the store and see these 'direct' systems you know <ggg>)... John
