As with the pin prick for the bull bubble bloat, the bear bubble bloat was pin pricked in due time. The markets are lately heavily news and news-anticipation driven. Russia and Brazil - August 31 bottom. Greenspan rate cut part 1 - September 23 top. LTCM and Financial Sector - October 8 bottom. Greenspan rate cut part deux - October 15-16 Dow breakout (S&P 500 and Nasdaq unconfirmed). Super Tuesday more bank derivatives announcements w/ earnings reports - October 20?
