Mark: MOT is in the middle of a fairly massive product migration(as it relates to communications devices) and IRIDF, which they partially ownership, is leading the way. Why the migration? Because MOT is behind the curve in converting their product line from analog to digital, hence the likes of Nokia, et.al. have been eating their lunch(by the way MOT's a great buy at its current levels). MOT should recover, just as they did back around 1990 when they incurred massive expenses in developing/rolling out their first set of cellphones. And as far as IRIDF(Iridium) is concerned, it's an interesting speculative play at its current level, too.

Where am I going with this....well, with their product migration underway I've got to think they're looking at all potential energy "sinks" they can use for these newer offerings. Soooooo....... ;-)
