With respect to your case law (Huges V. US), I will read the case and get back to you. Are you sure that Hughes within their disclosure may have disclosed an alternative embodiment?

Note for those interested, it doesn't always carry over but that is often due to a poor, (i.e. self-limiting) write-up in the patent application.)

I agree with you on this point that a bad specification may limit an invention.

When are you appling for Law School? :^)
