Jolie --- YES! The financials did great! Sold most but kept what was added to PWJ. Looking for it to do even better.

MMs make their pizza money in two ways. They will inventory shares to dump them at a higher price. They like seeing a continously rising price as we all do. The most profitable means with next to zero risk is making the spread. The minimal amount of shares traded on HDIE daily is NOT good for their wealth. The spread between bid and ask is theirs. So if I am willing to pay 3 and you get 2 7/8 on 10K they get 1/8. They do play a little if they feel an issue is light in their inventory. They can also switch betweeen MMs to inflate volume on the premise of adjusting each others inventory. Most anything strange is not leagle. They make a good buck so why chance their position? Most MM accusations are unfounded.

Analysts agendas are different. They work independent and want to be close to target all the time. If they make a name for themselves they make the big bucks because of what is drawn into the brokerage. Look at Tom Kurlac of MER. It seems he intentionally brings the price of INTC down. Greatest thing for traders as it is time to bail when he opens his mouth knowing it will fall and to buy back in a few days knowing it will rise again. Some are hyping a company their company did the IPO for and need the stock to rise so those that purchased huge blocks do not get hurt and come back for the next IPO. The brokerage gets more value from the analysts (as more trading goes on and they also buy/sell) but more income from good MMs.
As the lead underwriter they set the IPO price. The goal is to dump every share available. Underwriting is one of the most profitable areas a brokerage can be in. AFTER the IPO the mkt sets the pace. If I remember PTUS IPOed in the low teens. Within a very short time I bailed around 10. Look at it now...
There really is nothing happening with HDIE now. Last year was not stellar. The avg trading is very low for the amount of float. There is not the interest from buyers at this time. We need to see a ton of activity (news) and good earnings to get others interested in owning this issue. Others need to believe the prise will bouble in a year or less. Look at the few posts on the thread, the little news available. This is great for those accumulating (remember TPRO from 2 1/2 to 14?) but not good for capital appreciation,,,YET. The mkt conditions hve also put a ton of $$ into cash positions or blues for safety.
Earnings seemed to help tremendously last week. During the few weeks prior earnings meant little. Now at least 2 good qtrs in a row are required for anything REAL GREAT to happen on EPS alone... that is where the news comes in.
Lets see where we are in 3 1/2 months,,, barring a mkt dropping like Monika again we should have a good indication of HDIE----
