John, The track and the market have a lot in common. Our fellow SI poster, Dave Feldman has a great book, "How To Win At Just About Everything," that devotes two chapters to a comparison between horse racing systems and stock market systems. It is a terrific read, but you will have to try the library, as it is out of print. BTW, Dave is much nicer to the touts in both arenas than am I. I know, big surprise! -g- MB
