For those who may not have seen it, I'd like to repost a portion of Vaughn's post from the SUF thread:

Hello BozkurtD

On a more immediate and upbeat note. I have just returned from BHP's Open House put on for local
residents as a celebration and thank you for the completion of the Ekati Mine. About 1,200 carrats
of some very interesting piles of rough including one seemingly near flawless 9 carrat beauty from
each of four pipes were on display, along with about a dozen .5 to 1.25 carrat brilliant cut near
perfect gems. Their fire was extremely impressive.

The Sable pipe in particular seems to have quite a few champagne diamonds and the company
representative on hand suggested that a fair number of pinks, yellows and blues had also been
recovered.

Exciting times.

Regards

PHIL
