I think that was a deliberate head fake to drive price down, so they could turn around and buy more. If the AutoZone story is true, this would have been the most reasonable scenario. I think MM's saw that probably the AutoZone rumor had not yet circulated, so they tried to start an exit , so as to turnaround and load up on cheaper shares. They then, thought better of it, and decided to ride with what they had. Those shares , and more, will all be bought back at a higher cost , more than likely, before noon.
