BRAZIL: DELL PRIORITIZES DESKTOP COMPUTERS


Dell Computer is moving into the Brazilian market looking to the profile of = home and office PCs users, and estimates a demand for 1.5mil - 2mil desktop= machines per year. Dell will start assembling desktops and later on= notebooks in its plant to be based at Alvorada, Rio Grande do Sul state,= where it will invest US$128mil. The company will adopt direct sales to= consumers that will have available tailor made machines.
