Is there a chance that Ali is related to the fellow that proclaimed that "10 megs is all we can use in our lifetimes?"....Ali Chen, perhaps you might like to read the IBM news release that discusses the breakthroughs in speech rec. in China..now are working on the many and varied dialects.
RE: the masses, ah yes the masses. in US alone, 99 %..more or less can understand speech and speak. About 80% can read. (if you believe statistics. I would hate to hazard a guess as the the world wide figures.
RE: communicating with the masses, Hmm, seems there were a few political figures through time that relied on the "fuzziness" of speech to sway the masses....not necessarily in their best interests.
RE: difference between speech and voice rec. ...are you referencing between individual voices and one size fits all?
RE: Schemas...I broke mine, do you know where I might obtain a new one?
