I agree with the possible post-earnings buying opportunity, but I'm not sure how much of a sell-off we will see. At this point, comments on business conditions would seem to be more important than numbers. It will also be nice to get SLB out of the way. I am not anxious to build my positions now, just in case SLB news is very negative. But a big surprise one way or the other on the API numbers could spark a move before then. A big draw in stocks would probably set off another short covering rally. Anyone know the forecast for this week's numbers?
