Msft Split Into Three Companies And what, in your opinion, will take away the people's right from "voting" so if Microsoft is split into an OS company, an applications software company and an internet software company? Nothing, nothing at all. I would expect them to be successful in all three ventures but I would also suspect they would be dominate in two of the three ventures if the split happened today. Just because they split hypothetically into three companies does not ensure competition in and of itself.
