Newbridge is the industry's first vendor to demonstrate a solution that delivers ATM-based Distributed Service Delivery in metropolitan area networks. As a result, carriers and service providers can provide mission critical applications such as Internet Protocol (IP), frame relay, private line and cell relay, using a scalable, flexible common network infrastructure based on optical networking technology.
With NN being the first, who else is out there? Does Ascend have this capability? Cisco? I'm not even sure about Lucent. They have the DWDM, but do they have it as part of total ATM solution?
First LMDS as key differentiator and now DWDM. Seems extremely positive.
Four press releases today: New EVP, integration of DWDM into 36170, IP advances, and the release of the MainStreetXpress 36177.
Since the 36177 is hailed as a Siemens/NN product, does anyone know who developed it?
