Finally sat down to listen to the Quantum Conference Call. They have drawn a line. They will do something with MKQC (head business) by December. They say they have cut operating costs, but see no way to make the business profitable and will do something. Judging by how clearly they said it would be done by December, I would assume they have a solution ready.

So, what happens here? Shut down, sell their 49% stake to MKE, or they find a buyer? Any thoughts?

PS They were not willing to make forcasts and chose to be mostly conservative and non commital on the future, but when pushed on the effect of PC makers purposely keeping them in the dark on demand, Brown said, "Our backlog is high and we are feeling good".
