Heed the Call! Dump Dessauer! I'm leading the campaign to boycott John Dessauer's Investors World. In my estimation, he is guilty of gross incompetence as a financial advisor, and his advice has been disastrous for me and many others. He has:

1. repeatedly led us into investment black holes like Service Merchandise, Monaco Finance, C.P. Pokphand, Fletcher Challenge in which we have lost most or practically all of our invested money. (Pokphand, for instance he recommended buying it at $12 and selling it at $.60. That's right, sixty cents!)
2. urged buying of stocks right when they were at price peaks, such as Hilton at 33 and Bally Total Fitness at 31.
3. led us to buy companies right before earning announcements or warnings that sent them tumbling, such as LSI at 32 and Scientific Atlanta at 21.
4. completely misjudged the impact and severity of the Asian financial crisis.
5. totally misjudged the severity of the Cendant accounting fiasco, leading to heavy losses for us there.

I work in the health field, and I can tell you that if any surgeon botched up as much in his practice as Dessauer has in his, not only would he be run out of the operating room, but he would be faced with numerous law suits. I say it is time to fire John Dessauer. Do the right thing. Call Phillips Publishing now at 1 (800) 777-5005 and cancel your remaining months of subscription and demand your money back. Put them to the trouble of cutting you a check, even if you only have one month remaining. Help send a message to him that he can't ruin people's financial lives and get away with it. By my calculation, he may still have 16 million dollars a year coming in for doling out his crumby investment advice. Do you want to continue pitching dollars into his coffer? Get your money back. Do it for your own sake and for the sake of others who have been hurt. We'll turn this board into an alliance of ex-Dessauer devotees, and we can analyse together how to proceed with any remaining Dessauer stocks that we are holding. We don't need his advice, and we are better off without it. The number again is (800) 777-5005. Join me, and Dump Dessauer! My name is Ralph Cinque and you can e-mail me at: firsky@hotmail.com. This message will be reposted each time it rolls off the front page of this board.
