I like to do everything hands-on. I've considered some Tradestation-like systems in the past, but I like to hit the button myself. It's days like today where I could have culled a few more bux out of DAL if I had some rules-based automated trading going on. I did turn a quick 4 on DAL today, which probably would have been 6 - 6 1/2 with automation. I'm sure that my anal-retentiveness has frequently cost me when I lose patience and don't follow my own advice, but I still like that good old-fashioned feeling of control. I see from your profile that you're a pilot. This is an ironic twist - many of the pilots I know are real "control freaks" and the software geeks like me love automation.
