Jack, when I used "potential" I meant that it's going to come in no matter what, with two possibe exceptions to "no matter what": (i) market drop beyond "nominal 10%", or (ii) major "non-economic" news, like a major war, political crisis, or disaster. Otherwise, those who contribute "for the long run" will contribute anyway, and those who time will buy the correction in force, so it will turn into a runup. My experience is that "normal people" [those who don't trade themselves much] do not pay much attention to economic factors or news, they've been conditioned and brainwashed to buy stocks no matter what. And this attitude is not going to change before heavy and extended losses. Just look at Steve and Leo of CPQ fame. -g-
