Brazil's Cardoso To Meet Malan Monday On Fiscal Measures Dow Jones Newswires BRASILIA -- Brazilian Finance Minister Pedro Malan is expected to meet President Fernando Henrique Cardoso Monday night to discuss the much-expected multi-year fiscal emergency plan, highly placed government sources said Monday. The fiscal measures are due to be presented officially to Cardoso Tuesday, as confirmed by government spokesmen over the past few days. There is no official confirmation of when they will be made public.
