Thanks for the lead. One good turn deserves another. As long as we are talking about cars, you might be interested in 2 companies. First, REFR (Research Frontiers) which has its own website with good technical information (and some hype) relative to its smart windows. While it has widespread utilization, its first application would more than likely appear in car rear view mirrors competing against Gentex Corp. Be aware, I already have a position in this company.
Second is BYDS (Boyds Wheels) - this company is Boyd Carrington's Company (of HOT ROD fame). I am not a hot rodder but my middle aged buds absolutely salivated over this. He is to HOT RODS as Harley Davidson is to motorcycle. The big thing is the billeting of car parts. BYDS is now addressing the Harley market by providing aftermarket accesories for sprucing up bikes. Their website is not real good so information on company needs to be requested from the company. Motor Trend magazine always has write ups on Boyd C and his creations. He is the virtuoso of Hot Rods. Just on a side note, they have now gotten into merchandising of the Boyd name (Mattel Hot Wheels, logo items, etc.) Was a buy in the 10-11 range, went to the high teens, then settled back. My uneducated read is that Hot Rods, motocycles, and accessories are lackluster items during the late fall and winter months. When Spring comes around and a boy's fancy turns to women and cars, who knows, we might get a good run. I do NOT have a position in this company yet and may decide not to since it is out of my comfort zone. But who knows.
Again thanls for your post and I hope you appreciate the return comments.
But that is my opinion. |
