Hi Robin, Skimmed through the list of top biotech stock picks for 1997 and a number of them follow the pattern of FDA approval resulting in the successful marketing of a new drug or application, and an accompanying increase in share price. All good stuff from the sound of it.
What distinguishes BIO from most of these selections is that BIO's projections up to year 3 include ZERO revenues from the N. American market. That though is a double edged sword, because investors are not willing to buy into this story without an American stamp of approval. China is far away, and very risky.
Typically small companies don't come out of left field announcing their drugs have finished all trials and are being actively sold abroad.
Actually it doesn't really matter whether investors want to buy into this story right now. (It's quite exciting to be the only contributor to this thread.) The fundamentals are everything.I've given up on the market for now. I'm just following what the company is doing.

I'm very happy to have found this stock last spring, to have continued following it, and to be able to record this comment on January 2nd 1997.
If I'm wrong I'll come back considerably poorer and say so, but I expect to become rich by watching this story unfold.

All the best in 1997 to fellow investors (fellow risk takers)

Robin
